• Cold Harbour Barn has capacity for 100 (seated) or 160 (standing).

  • Do you allow external caterers?

    You are free to choose your own professional caterer who holds a food hygiene certificate and public liability insurance.

    We work with some great local caterers, who we are very happy to recommend. Please see our Suppliers List page.

    What facilities do you have for our caterers use?

    We have a new catering hut, which includes washing and preparation facilities.

    Will you run a bar for our event? Cold Harbour Barn is a fully licenced venue and we have our own well stocked and reasonably priced bar and staff who run it at your event. Our bar stock and price list are available on request.


    Can we provide our own alcohol?

    If you would like to bring your own table wine, we charge corkage, £10 per bottle of wine, £12.50 per bottle of Prosecco and £15 per bottle of Champagne.

    Bespoke drinks packages are available on request.

    We can supply bottled mineral water (still and sparkling) at £2.50 per bottle or we will just serve chilled tap water in glass jugs on each table. We supply all of the glasses for the duration of the event.

    We use the Oxford Wine Company to supply all of our wine so if you require any particular wine then we can source it for you.

  • Can we have a live band or DJ at our event? We are fully licenced for a live band or a DJ

    Do you allow candles, firepits, sparklers and fireworks? Our fire pit is included in the venue hire fee ~ we will light this and provide wood. Unfortunately we do not allow fireworks or Chinese lanterns.

  • Is there parking at Cold Harbour Barn? There is plenty of parking available.

    Can you get to Cold Harbour Barn by Public Transport? Due to the rural location of the venue, it is not accessible by public transport. The closest train station is Didcot, then a further 5-10 minute journey by taxi would be required to reach the venue.

    Can I leave my car overnight at Cold Harbour Barn? Guests may leave cars on site overnight, left at owners risk but are to be collected between 8 am and 12 pm the day after your event. 

    Taxis. Due to the remote location we advise that guests arrange taxis prior to your event. There is no public transport.

    Taxis ordered at midnight may take more than an hour to arrive, guests present at the barn after 12.00am, the hirer will be charged for staff to wait with guests until there transport arrives.

    How late can we celebrate? Our finish time is midnight, with last orders at 11.30pm, last song 11.45pm. Late finishes are available for an additional fee.

  • We have a beautifully converted off grid Nissan Hut hidden within an 11 acre private woodland, a short walk from the barn.

    If guests would like to camp overnight this must be pre-arranged and tents can be erected no earlier than 9am on the day of the event and taken down by 12.00hrs the following afternoon.

  • With prior notice we can make Cold Harbour Barn accessible to all. Guests with disabilities must be seated adjacent to the fire exit due to Health & Safety regulations and extra toilet facilities can be arranged at the hirer’s cost.

  • Cold Harbour Barn bar accepts both cash, card, apple pay, amex, and most forms of payment

  • No animals are permitted at the barn unless by prior agreement, and only when specified in your contract or with written agreement.
